CLOVE STEM

The clove stem refers to the part of the clove spice that supports the flower bud. Cloves are the dried flower buds of the tree Syzygium aromaticum, and the "stem" is an integral part of the whole clove structure.

* Culinary Use:
  Both the stem and the bud are used together in cooking. The entire dried clove (stem and bud) is commonly used in spice blends, pickles, teas, and flavoring meats.
