Fasciospongia operculum is a species of sponges belonging to the class Demospongiae. This species is also part of the genus Fasciospongia and familia Thorectidae. The scientific name of this species was first published in 1897 by Lendenfeld.
Like a sponge in general, this species has a body that is porous and hard surfaces such as rocks.
