Seed coat: Tough outer layer (testa) that protects the seed.
Kernel: The inner part (cotyledon), which is rich in starch, protein, and polysaccharides like xyloglucan.

Uses:

1. Culinary (after processing):

Roasted or boiled seeds are sometimes used in traditional dishes in parts of Asia and Africa.
Tamarind seed flour or powder is used as a stabilizer or thickener in food.

2. Industrial:

   Tamarind seed polysaccharide (TSP) is used in textiles, paper, and cosmetics due to its thickening and binding properties.

3. Medicinal:

    Traditionally used for digestive issues, joint pain, and wound healing in some cultures.
